Sister Katrina Washington is a talented singer, songwriter and voice
coach who is excited about the gifts God has given to her and to the
students she teaches. Sister
Katrina knows how to make each participant feel they are special and knows
how to make you work hard as she brings out the best in your vocal talent.
We feel very honored to have her working with the Gospel Songwriters
Music Workshop and we know if you take her class, you will come to the same
conclusion. This class is a
chance to sharpen your vocal skills, whether you sing solo, choir or for
personal enjoyment, you’ll be glad you met Sister Katrina Washington.
Minister Anthony Franklin is a talented musician who loves the Lord
and has a way of making every song sound fresh and exciting when he plays.
He works with our Gospel Songwriters Workshop Choir to help us
prepare the music that will be performed with our guest clinician during the
workshop concert. Minister
Franklin brings to the table many years of musical experience as well as a
great attitude for working with people from all backgrounds.
We are very fortunate to have a talent such as Minister Anthony
Franklin working with the choir and we know if you join the choir, you will
understand why we feel God has given us the best in Minister Franklin.
 Sister
Yvonne Reed Matthews, Pastor O’Neal Porter and Sister Shirley C. Scott are
the dynamic trio who conduct our songwriting clinics during our annual
workshop. This dynamic trio has
the inate ability to help enhance and bring out the best in any songwriter.
They are able to work with the young as well as the not so young.
They are familiar with a wide variety of musical styles and they are
able to offer a broad base of knowledge that makes our songwriters glad to
be in their class. If you were
to attend any other workshop around the country, you could not find any more
talented people than these who make up this trio.
If you have never experienced a creative environment, then take time
to attend this class because you will come back again and again.
 The
newest addition to our clinicians list is Brother Jermel Kidd.
Brother Jermel is a young man with a passion for his craft and gift
of music. He loves the Lord with
all of his heart and he is one of the most talented musicians to come along
in a long time. Brother Jermel
will be conducting our Musicians Exchange Class.
This is an opportunity for the veteran musician as well as the
amateur musician to learn more about their musical gift.
Brother Jermel is an excellent music teacher and his ability to make
you more excited about your gift can only be experienced if you join him in
the musicians Class.
